Shramadhana at Tarabari Jumadi Bunta Daivasthana
A Shramadhana, or voluntary service, was held at the Tarabari Jumadi Bunta Daivasthana, a sacred site of the Kenjar-Pejavara Magane. Members of the Jai Tulunad (R.) Central Committee and Kudla Unit took part with devotion and enthusiasm.
Central Committee members Niranjan Karkera, Chandrashekhar Devipura and Purnima Kiran, along with Savitha Karkera of the Baravuoda Bitthil Literature Wing, joined the service. Kudla Unit office-bearers led by President Rajashree Chandrashekhar participated alongside Chetan Anchan, Akshith Kenjar, Bhavishya Sandeep, Sharathraj Alankar, Jeevitha Kuttar, Chirag, volunteer Shayana and local residents.

‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’ Held at Kenjar
The Kudla Unit organised the ‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’ — Come, write your name in Tulu script — programme during the Ekaha Bhajana Mangalotsava at Sridevi Bhajana Mandira, Kenjar-Karambar.
The programme aimed to create awareness about the traditional Tulu script and encourage its use among the public. Devotees and local residents enthusiastically had their names written in Tulu script, with support from instructor Shilpashree Tuluvedi, Savitha Karkera Kavoor, Akshith Kenjar, Sharath Raj Alankar and Manish Kumar Alankar.

Volunteer Service and Tulu Script Campaign at Sasihitlu Temple
During the Brahmakalashotsava at Sri Bhagavathi Temple, Sasihitlu, Kudla Unit volunteers assisted with the temple festivities while a Tulu script awareness desk welcomed devotees.
Visitors enthusiastically had their names written in traditional Tulu script. The campaign was supported by Keerthan R. Kotian, Rohini Shetty, Bhavishya Sandeep, Santhosh Katpadi, Kiran Tuluve, Sharath Raj Alankar and Aishwarya Innanje, while the volunteer service was led by Rajashree Chandrashekhar, Uday Poonja, Akshith Kenjar and Jeevitha Kuttar.

‘Write Your Name in Tulu Script’ at Mangaluru Yugadi Celebration
The Jai Tulunad (R.) Mangaluru branch hosted ‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’ during the RSS Mangaluru City Unit’s Yugadi celebration. Held from 6:15 PM to 8:30 PM, the workshop drew volunteers and members of the public eager to learn to write their names in Tulu script.
The initiative received widespread appreciation. Geetha Lakshmeesh, Akshith Kenjar, Sharathraj Alankar, Chirag and Manish Kumar Alankar were among the organisers who led the programme.

Script Awareness Campaign Conducted at Kenjar Daivasthana
The Kudla Unit conducted ‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’ at the Tarabari Jumadi-Bunta Daivasthana during religious festivities. Devotees welcomed the opportunity to receive their names written in traditional Tulu script.
The cultural preservation initiative received strong public appreciation. Instructor Shilpashree Tuluvedi, Joint Secretary Poornima Shettigar, General Secretary Sharath Raj Alankar and Organizing Secretary Akshith Kenjar supported the programme.

St Aloysius University and Jai Tulunad Hold Tulu Script Workshop
St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with Jai Tulunad (R.) Kudla Unit, organised the one-day ‘Tulu Lipi Polabu’ workshop at Joseph Willy Hall.
The programme introduced students and enthusiasts to the history and practical use of the ancient Tigalari script. Uday Poonja Tharipadigutthu, Rajashree Chandrashekar, Shilpashri Tuluvedi, Chirashree Deralakatte and Rohini Shetty Manel led the sessions.

‘Our Beach, Our Responsibility’ Cleanup Drive
The Kudla Unit organised a beach cleanup drive to promote environmental conservation and coastal hygiene. Sunday beachgoers were engaged in awareness efforts while volunteers collected plastic and other debris.
Unit President Rajashree Chandrashekar, Uday Poonja, Kiran Tuluve, Niranjan Karkera, Sharathraj Alankar and other committee members and volunteers led the initiative, which received appreciation from tourists and the local public.

‘Tulunada Kesarda Gobbu’ Mud Sports Held at Taripadi
The traditional ‘Tulunada Kesarda Gobbu’ mud sports event was held at Taripadi, jointly organised by Taripadi Javanere Kala, Taripadi Ponjovule Kala and Jai Tulunad (R.) Kudla Unit.
Children, youth and elders participated enthusiastically in tug-of-war, mud running, Thappangayi, pot-breaking and three-legged races. The Aati-month celebration brought Tuluvas together around their deep connection to Tulu soil and traditional games.

‘Pustaka Habba 2026’ Draws Strong Response to Tulu Script Workshop
The three-day Pustaka Habba 2026, organised by Sahitya Kendra Mangaluru at Sanghanikethana, concluded with an enthusiastic response to the ‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’ workshop hosted by the Jai Tulunad (Reg.) Kudla Unit.
Hundreds of children, youth and literature enthusiasts learned to write their names in Tulu. Vice President Chetan Anchan and a dedicated team of Tulu script teachers guided participants, earning appreciation from festival visitors.
